Essentially the whole world is currently in a state of limbo due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic that has forced people to be quarantined to their homes.
One of the only businesses that has essentially been unaffected is the NFL as the 2020 season does not begin until September. While things are obviously different as players and staff members haven’t been able to do their normal offseason activities, free agency went on as usual, as will the NFL Draft this upcoming week.
While times are tough for everyone right now, a number of athletes and organizations have done an outstanding job helping out in their local communities.
That includes the Los Angeles Rams as they held a telethon that raised over $2 million for local food banks. Additionally, quarterback Jared Goff and offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth donated $200,000 worth of meals to the L.A. Regional Food Bank.
Defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day is now doing his part, donating money to feed medical personnel that are working extremely hard during this time, per Lindsey Thiry of ESPN:
Rams DT Sebastian Joseph Day has donated $10,000 to the Edward Charles Foundation in Beverly Hills to help feed 250 medical personnel and their families during the coronavirus crisis.

Joseph-Day was a sixth-round pick of the Rams in 2018 out of Rutgers, so it is very generous of him to donate to people in need when he has only played two seasons with a low salary.
He is just the latest example of the outstanding work the Rams are doing, and that will likely continue until the pandemic is in the rearview mirror.
