Davante Adams has to be feeling good about his new team as he and the Los Angeles Rams picked up their second victory of the 2025 season with a Week 2 road win against the Tennessee Titans.
The Rams beat the Titans 33-19 thanks to a well-balanced effort on both sides of the field in the second. Los Angeles trailed Tennessee 13-10 at halftime, but turned things around in the third quarter to take momentum.
The defense was once again the story for the Rams as they sacked Cam Ward five times, with the most pivotal one coming on behalf of Byron Young who also forced a fumble that Nate Landman recovered. The turnover allowed Matthew Staffor to hit Davante Adams in the end zone for his first touchdown in Los Angeles.
There was a concerted effort to get Adams the football more and he revealed that head coach Sean McVay was determined to get the star wideout his first touchdown with the Rams, via Wyatt Miller of TheRams.com:
“(McVay) was trying to get me in that end zone, for sure,” Adams said with a smile. “So it was good to finally punch it in.”
The play Adams scored on was a vintage one as he beat L’Jarius Sneed one-on-one on the outside with a stutter move and Stafford found himself open in the end zone. It was a beautiful play that highlights the new dimension Adams brings to the offense as he’s still an elite separator who can find open grass.
Adams finished with a team-high 13 targets and he turned them into six receptions, 106 receiving yards and one touchdown. McVay and Stafford clearly wanted to get Adams more opportunities in Week 2 and while it seemed forced at times, there’s no question that the wideout made good on their faith in him.
Puka Nacua and Adams are quickly making a case as the best receiver duo in the NFL as the former had a huge day as well. Nacua recorded 136 total yards which included a 45-yard rushing touchdown, his first score of the season.
Week 3 represents a much tougher challenge as the Rams will be back on the road to take on the Philadelphia Eagles, so expect Adams to remain a focal point of the passing game.

Not only did Davante Adams record his first touchdown with the Rams, but he also surpassed 12,00 receiving yards for his career. Adams reflected on the accomplishment, saying it means a lot to him and that he’s happy it came in a win.
