The Los Angeles Rams recently celebrated being one of those most-well-represented teams at the 2018 NFL Pro Bowl. Among the notable names were superstars like running back Todd Gurley and defensive tackle Aaron Donald.
However, Los Angeles still had its fair share of snubs considering they have boasted one of the best offenses in the league for the entire 2017 NFL season. That said, head coach Sean McVay was surprised to find out none of the Rams’ offensive line had been selected to this year’s Pro Bowl during the Ram’s press conference:
“Yeah, I think so,” McVay said. “But we talk about it with the team always that those guys success, specifically when you talk about the running back and the quarterback – you don’t have any of that success without a great offensive line.”
Of course, the Rams’ offensive line has not gone completely unnoticed. Veteran left tackle Andrew Whitworth was named as an alternate for this year’s game. Unfortunately, the stellar play of left guard Rodger Saffold and center John Sullivan was not enough to earn either a trip.
Despite the snubs, Los Angeles has shown high praise for the big guys up front that have helped transform them into the highest-scoring offense in the NFL (31.3). If all goes according to plan in the postseason, none of the Rams will need to make that trip to the Pro Bowl.
