Rams News: Sean McVay On Potential Ndamukong Suh Signing

The Los Angeles Rams have been one of the most aggressive teams during the NFL free agency period as they have not only retained Nickell Robey-Coleman and Lamarcus Joyner, but they were also able to land Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib in blockbuster deals. With a revamped secondary, the Rams arguably have the best pass defense in the league.

However, Los Angeles continues its pursuit to build an all-world defense as they have been linked to free agent Ndamaukong Suh. Suh, who was released by the Miami Dolphins, visited with the Rams and appears to seriously be considering signing with the team.

According to TMZ, Sean McVay did not reveal much when asked about Suh as transcribed by Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire:

We’ll see. You know, excited about Marcus (Peters) and Aqib (Talib), and if we’re able to make that other move, that’d be good for us. But we’ll see. You know, he’s got a lot of teams that want him, so. He’s a good player.”

If Los Angeles were to add Suh, it would be hard not to believe that they would then have the most stout defense in the NFL. A front seven headlined by Aaron Donald and Suh coupled with the team’s remade secondary would strike fear in opposing offenses and make scheming against the Rams a nightmare.

However, this is all purely speculation at this point given that Suh has not indicated which team he is leaning toward signing. Regardless, Los Angeles has positioned itself as a Super Bowl contender and should be a legitimate threat to make a deep postseason run when the 2018 NFL season kicks off.
