The Los Angeles Rams seem poised to make a serious Super Bowl run during the 2018 NFL season given all the new talent on the roster after free agency and the 2018 NFL Draft. The Rams, who were aggressive in their pursuit of playmakers on the sides of the field, now have a roster that looks capable of going the distance after a successful 2017 NFL season.

However, after trading away players like Robert Quinn and Alec Ogletree, Los Angeles has some question marks at the linebacker position. The team seemingly addressed this issue by selecting several players who could fill those roles and Kristen Lago of Rams, Sean McVay still feels confident in his linebacker group:

I think you look at it and you like some of the depth that you’re able to create with some guys that can play on the edge,” head coach Sean McVay said recently. “Then you add interior players that can do some different things and allow us to be a bit more versatile at some of those spots and add some depth.”

The Rams selected Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, Trevon Young, Micah Kiser and Travin Howard in the draft and each player will have an opportunity to compete for snaps once the new season starts. Los Angeles also has a couple of returning linebackers who can step into the void at the position such as Matt Longacre, Cory Littleton and Samson Ebukam.

Despite the linebacker uncertainty, the Rams still boast several high-profile names that should swing the tides of games during the 2018 NFL campaign. It will be interesting to see if the Rams can live up to such lofty expectations in the coming months.
