The Los Angeles Rams are clicking on all cylinders and once again proved why they are a legitimate playoff team through seven games of the 2017 NFL season. For the first time in years, fans rightfully have high hopes for this newly-revamped team.

Although players and coaches alike have been adamant about continuing to improve in all areas of the game moving forward, some who have suffered through the bad years with the Rams are still taking it all in. According to the Los Angeles Times, one of those players is veteran guard Rodger Saffold:

“So happy, so excited,” Saffold said. “This is the first time I’ve felt success in a long time.”

Saffold’s excitement should certainly come as no surprise considering he has been with the Rams since the 2010 NFL season, which is longer than any other current player on the roster. Needless to say, he has seen his fair share of disappointment with the team.

Despite the early struggles, Saffold remained the only consistent pillar in the offensive line up until this point and it is starting to finally pay off. He is now paired with arguably the best left tackle in the league in Andrew Whitworth, in the highest-scoring offense in the NFL.
