The Los Angeles Rams have gotten off to a quick start to the 2017 NFL season. They currently own a 2-1 record and sit atop the NFC West, a surprising development given the youth and inexperience of the team.

Jared Goff and Todd Gurley have already proven that they are the heart of the offense, but the receiving corps has made it tough for defenses to stop the Rams from putting up points. Sammy Watkins and Cooper Kupp have started to find their niche in the offense and should only improve as the 2017 NFL season continues.

Lost in all the early excitement is wide receiver Robert Woods, who signed a five-year deal with Los Angeles earlier in the offseason. According to Gary Klein of Los Angeles Times, Woods believes the offense can still improve:

We’re putting up a lot of points,” he said, “but when I say more to come that is just consistency.”

The southern California native added that head coach Sean McVay’s offense is largely responsible for the team’s early success:

Throughout the game, you just have a sense of, ‘They don’t know what we’re doing,’ ” he said, adding, “When you’re running a route and you see guys running the opposite way, it’s a good feeling.”

Woods had his best game as a member of the Rams in their Week 3 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. The wideout had six receptions for 108 yards, reeling in a couple of difficult passes from Goff for large gains.

Los Angeles has instantly become one of the more exciting teams to watch on offense, but have a tough slate of games coming up. They have a difficult matchup on the road against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4.
