The Los Angeles Rams have remained one of the most active teams in the league over the first several weeks of the offseason. The front office has already made several major additions to the roster via the trade market.
Los Angeles now appears to be in the picture to acquire another star player to mix with their potential pursuit of New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. With that in mind, veteran wide receiver Robert Woods stated during a recent interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio that he would welcome the addition of the Pro Bowl wideout this offseason:
#Rams WR @RobertWoods: I looked into it and I saw the potential of Odell coming to the Rams. If you can bring in more weapons…no reason not to. Have this team stacked and loaded and he would be a good addition to our Wide Receiver room and team.

The Giants have begun to listen to offers for their star wideout after his continued behavioral issues have once again become the center of attention after a viral video of him possibly using illegal drugs made waves over social media. It has provided yet another distraction for the franchise while potentially disrupting the contract extension talks as he’s in the fifth-year option of his rookie deal.
These issues aside, Beckham Jr. is arguably the league’s most talented wide receiver that has taken the NFL by storm through his first four seasons when healthy. He has already become the first player to record at least 90 catches, 1,200 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns in each of his first three seasons.
His presence for the Rams would give them a legitimate No.1 wide receiver in the passing game that would more than fill the void left by the loss of Sammy Watkins in free agency. Beckham Jr. could also open up more opportunities for Woods, Cooper Kupp, Tavon Austin, and Josh Reynolds to be more effective options with all the attention being dragged his way.
He is coming off a broken ankle that prematurely ended his 2017 season, but he has continued to make steady progress in his recovery and looks to be on track to be on the field at some point this offseason. With that concern out of the window, the possibility of acquiring a pure talent such as Beckham Jr. is something that the Rams from the front office and players standpoint are highly intrigued at the possibility. Only time will tell if they will have the chance to get it done.
