After defeating the Tennessee Titans 27-23 in Week 16 of the 2017 NFL season, the Los Angeles Rams clinched the NFC West division title. The Rams have gone from a fun, promising young roster to a legitimate Super Bowl contender with their play during the second half of the season.

Sean McVay has revitalized Los Angeles as his offensive scheme and playcalling have made the team one of the most exciting ones in the NFL. According to Rich Hammond of Los Angeles Daily News, Robert Quinn was quick to credit the head coach for the Rams’ turnaround:

I would like to say I can speak for the guys who have been here, and everything we went through,” linebacker Robert Quinn said. “With McVay and (defensive coordinator) Wade (Phillips) leading this team, I don’t know what they did, but they just brought the best out of everybody, brought some new guys in and everybody rose up to the challenge.”

McVay and Wade Phillips have transformed Los Angeles into an elite squad on both sides of the ball and their work has been on display throughout the entirety of the season. At 11-4, the Rams look like they can carry their success into the postseason and hopefully make a deep run.

While they have clinched a playoff berth, Los Angeles should still try and finish out the 2017 NFL campaign strong. They get a resurgent San Francisco 49ers team in the season finale.
