The Los Angeles Rams won their third consecutive game Sunday afternoon when they traveled to face the division rival Arizona Cardinals and came away with a 17-13 come-from-behind victory.

For the second time in the past three weeks the defense came up big, coming away with five turnovers, with four coming in the second half.

While the victory was a big one as the Rams kept pace with the Seattle Seahawks at 3-1 in the NFC West, it came at a big expense as two key players left the game with injuries.

Two-time Pro Bowler and former First-Team All-Pro defensive end Robert Quinn left the game with a shoulder injury, and back-up running back and return man Benny Cunningham left the game and did not return with a hamstring injury, via Myles Simmons of therams.com:

After a tough year in 2015 in which he played just eight games, Quinn is having a resurgent season as through the first three games he had two sacks and two forced fumbles, including the game winning sack-fumble to defeated the Seahawks in Week 2.

Cunningham, who is the team’s back-up to Todd Gurley, is the team’s primary back on passing downs. Through the first three games he has four carries for 32 yards and three receptions for 24 yards. Cunningham also averaged 34.3 yards per return as a kickoff returned through the first three games.

If Cunningham misses any time, Gurley, who caught a career-high five passes in Sunday’s game, will likely take over as the every-down back and second-year running back Malcolm Brown will take over the back-up running back job.
