According to the NFL’s transaction page, Los Angeles Rams restricted free agent linebacker Cory Littleton has signed his tender and will make $3.095 million during the 2019-20 season considering it was a second-round tender.

The Rams signed Littleton as an undrafted free agent out of Washington in 2016. He did not play much in his first two seasons, but after the Rams traded Alec Ogletree last offseason, Littleton took on a starting role and had a breakout season in 2018.

Littleton played in all 16 games for Los Angeles this past season and had 125 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, four sacks and three interceptions. He reached the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career as a special teams player.

He will be asked to take on an even bigger leadership role this season with some new faces on the defensive side of the ball like Eric Weddle, Clay Matthews and a handful of draft picks. They also will be returning the likes of some star players like Aaron Donald, Dante Fowler, Marcus Peters, Aqib Talib and John Johnson III.

If he has another strong season then he will have a chance to cash in on a sizeable contract next offseason when he becomes an unrestricted free agent.
