Facing a near must-win to keep their playoff hopes alive, the Los Angeles Rams and Puka Nacua put together their most complete game of the 2024 season after beating the Buffalo Bills in Week 14 at home.
The Rams were able to hold off the Bills en route to a 44-42 victory, though there are several instances where it looked like Josh Allen and company would come back to take the lead. Allen had the best game of any quarterback during the 2024 season, recording three passing touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns. It was the first time in NFL history that a player ever accomplished such a feat, but somehow Los Angeles was able to weather the storm and take home the hard-earned victory.
Nacua was the star of the afternoon as he constantly found himself open downfield which allowed Matthew Stafford to let the football rip. Nacua came down with a bevy of impressive grabs, including one along the left sideline where he just barely got his toes down before falling out of bounds. The second-year receiver ended up with a monstrous line of 12 receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown plus another touchdown on the ground for good measure.
Nacua was seen on the bench having his leg attended to in the fourth quarter, and when asked what he was thinking about watching Allen drive down field in the fourth quarter he had a hilarious answer, via The Pat McAfee Show:
"They scammed us with those balance bracelets"

The Power Balance bands that Nacua is referring to are old athletic items that were popular in the mid-2000s as they promoted enhanced athletic performance. However, the bands were eventually discontinued after studies showed the perceived increase in athletic performance was attributed to a placebo effect.
Nacua’s recollection of the item mid-game speaks to his child-like personality and enthusiasm, though the Rams certainly won’t complain about that when he’s putting up the numbers he’s had in recent weeks. While the Power Balance bands may have been scams according to Nacua, his production on the field is beyond real.
Puka Nacua believes Rams are connecting on all cylinders
Los Angeles’ offense has had its ups and downs throughout the season due to injuries and inconsistent play, but their showing against Buffalo is proof of their ceiling. Puka Nacua believes that the Rams’ win against the Bills is an example of the team connecting on all cylinders.
