The NFL announced that Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver Puka Nacua was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14.

This is the second time Nacua has taken home NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors this season as he also won it for his Week 4 performance against the Indianapolis Colts.

In the Week 14 win over the Cardinals, Nacua finished with seven catches for 167 yards and two touchdowns. It marked the first multi-receiving touchdown game of his career and he ended up finishing three receiving yards shy of matching his single-game career high.

Nacua has been exceptional for the Rams all season as in 12 games, he leads the NFL in targets (118) and receptions (93) to go along with 1,186 receiving yards and seven total touchdowns.

Against the Cardinals, specifically, Nacua had one of the best games of his career as he was making ridiculous catches all day. Matthew Stafford trusted his top target in some jump ball situations, and Nacua came through for his team more often than not in the dominant victory.

If Nacua continues at this pace, then he will have a career year for the Rams and should be in the mix for both the Pro Bowl and First Team All-Pro selections.

Puka Nacua was excited about first two-touchdown game

It’s pretty crazy that this was the first time Puka Nacua scored multiple touchdowns in a game for the Rams, but after the game he was excited about it and revealed that he did not have multiple celebrations planned because he had never done it before.

“Normally you don’t come in with too many touchdown celebrations, so I’m going to have to start coming with more in pocket,” Nacua said. “But it felt good the way we were executing on offense and getting into the end zone.”
