The Los Angeles Rams didn’t accomplish their ultimate goal in 2025, but still had a successful season by many standards.

The team won 11 of their first 14 games and at one point looked like the favorite to clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. However, that changed after a devastating loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 16, which dropped L.A. in the standings and essentially forced them to make the postseason as a Wild Card team.

The Rams finished with a 12-5 record but had to play all of their postseason games on the road. That is a tough ask, but they still managed to make it all the way to the NFC Championship Game before coming up just short in another loss to the Seahawks that ended their season.

Puka Nacua reflected on the 2025 season and is using it as motivation to get to the Super Bowl, via DJ Siddiqi of RG:

“That’s what you live for,” said Nacua in a one-on-one interview with RG about playing in the Super Bowl. “You live your dream about that as a little kid to play in those big games. Obviously we didn’t have the outcome that we wanted, but it drives that competitive edge to head into the offseason, and that motivation to continue to get better. I know everybody on our team, with how young we are and how many playoff games have had a chance to play since being in the league. I think all the guys that were drafted by the Rams in 2023 have played a playoff game every single year since I’ve been in the league.

“Obviously this year, going all the way to the NFC Championship, it’s fun,” Nacua continued to say.

“You learn things. You learn how to take care of your body. The routine is different, the understanding, the mental capacity to fight past the 17 weeks of regular season and say, ‘Hey, there’s a whole new season that we’re about to play.’ Everything that happened doesn’t matter. The ability to reset and then refocus I think is something that our team has done well, and I know that obviously this offseason that we’re going to do our best.”

Nacua is coming off his best season yet, leading the NFL with 129 catches, and finishing second with 1,715 receiving yards while recording 105 rushing yards and scoring 11 total touchdowns.

Nacua has been to the playoffs in all three of his seasons with the Rams, going deeper each year. If that pattern continues in 2026, he may finally get a chance to play in the Super Bowl.

Rams finalize coaching staff for 2026 season

The Rams finalized their coaching staff for the 2026 season, which includes several new hires.

Kliff Kingsbury’s hiring came without a title initially, but he has moved into an assistant head coaching position right behind Sean McVay. Meanwhile, Robert Woods and Brian Allen return to the franchise as its new assistant wide receivers coach and assistant offensive line coach, respectively.

Both Roberts and Allen were members of the Super Bowl LVI roster, so they bring championship experience and a deep familiarity with McVay’s offense.
