The Los Angeles Rams took sole possession of first place in the NFC West with their 21-19 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

Davante Adams caught his 1,000th career pass in the victory — a one-yard touchdown in the first quarter that put the Rams up by double digits.

It was Adams’ only reception of the game, but he certainly made it count. The veteran wide receiver has now found the end zone in four consecutive games and leads the NFL with 10 touchdowns this season.

During an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Puka Nacua revealed that the Rams had a special touchdown celebration planned for Adams but he was too locked in to follow through, although he credited his teammates for how dominant he is in the red zone:

Nacua said the touchdown celebration would have entailed Adams dunking the football through rookie Konata Mumpfield’s arms in a similar fashion as LeBron James’ and Dwyane Wade’s iconic alley oop from their time with the Miami Heat.

Although the celebration never came to be, it was still a good result for Adams and the Rams. The 32-year-old has been an absolute cheat code in goal-line situations this season, and his impact off the field shouldn’t be overlooked either.

Rams sign outside linebacker Jesse Luketa to practice squad

The Los Angeles Rams announced they have signed outside linebacker Jesse Luketa to their practice squad.

The Rams have one of the best defenses in football but they are always looking to improve their roster any chance they get. After clearing a spot on their practice squad by releasing linebacker Jamil Muhammad, the team wasted no time filling it.

Luketa was a seventh-round draft pick of the Cardinals in 2022 and he wound up spending three seasons with the organization.

Luketa was in the midst of a career year in 2024 before sustaining a season-ending thigh injury. In 10 games (two starts), he recorded three sacks, 21 tackles and one forced fumble.

Now healthy again, it isn’t clear what Luketa’s role will be with the Rams. However, it never hurts to add depth, and the Rams got a good player in Luketa.
