The Los Angeles Rams have their most important game of the regular season against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football this week, but Puka Nacua has been taking attention away from that with his actions off the field.

Nacua appeared on a livestream with Adin Ross and N3on and performed an antisemitic dance with Ross, which the Rams star said he would do on the field if he scored a touchdown.

Naturally, the clip received a lot of backlash and Nacua issued an apology on Thursday morning, saying he did not know the dance was antisemitic and does not stand for any sort of stereotypes against Jewish people:

The Rams and NFL also released statements condemning Nacua’s actions, via Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic:

The Rams’ statement:

“There is no place in this world for Antisemitism as well as other forms of prejudice or hostility towards the Jewish people and people of any religion, ethnicity, or race." https://t.co/lvIchRTO7Y

It remains to be seen if the Rams or NFL will have any discipline for Nacua, but he is set to suit up on Thursday night against the Seahawks. It seems like he made an honest mistake and felt genuine remorse for his actions, quickly putting out a statement to apologize.

Nacua doing this livestream the week of such an important game shows that his judgment is not perfect though, so hopefully he learns from this experience and is better moving forward as he is a massive star on and off the field that kids look up to.

Puka Nacua critical of NFL officiating

Rams star Puka Nacua also made headlines during his livestream appearance for being openly critical of NFL officiating.

“The refs are the worst,” Nacua said. “… Some of the rules aren’t … These guys want to be … these guys are lawyers. They want to be on TV too. You don’t think he’s texting his friends in the group chat like, ‘Yo, you guys just saw me on “Sunday Night Football.” That wasn’t P.I., but I called it.’”
