Ever since the Los Angeles Rams went all in on Jared Goff with the first overall pick at the 2016 NFL Draft, quarterback Nick Foles has decided not to take part in organized team activities.
The fifth-year man out of Arizona had been attending regular off-season workouts up until the Rams chose Goff on the day of the draft according to Jim Trotter of ESPN:
The fifth-year pro even skipped the start of organized team activities on Tuesday, and multiple sources told ESPN.com it is because the Rams drafted a quarterback.
Prior to last season, the Rams traded Sam Bradford to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for Foles, who at the time was a year removed from his breakout season in which he threw for 27 touchdowns and just two interceptions.
However, Foles has not seen much success since then after throwing for just seven touchdowns and ten interceptions in his 2015 campaign, going 4-7 as a starter before being benched by head coach Jeff Fisher in favor of Case Keenum.
Fisher commented on the current situation regarding Foles via Patrick Claybon of NFL Network:

The Rams signed Foles to a two-year contract extension in August worth $24.5 million. Though many assume Los Angeles would attempt to trade Foles, there have been no offers reported as he he now sits third on the Rams quarterback depth chart. Since OTAs are only voluntary workouts, Foles is not required to show up and will not be fined though it remains to be seen when or if he returns.
