The Los Angeles Rams have spent much of the offseason adding premier talent to the roster. One of which was the signing of All-Pro defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh through free agency.
It was a move that quickly took form a couple of weeks ago despite a few other teams being in on the 31-year-old. According to Joe Curley of the Ventura County Star, Suh revealed that the pitch that the Rams made to Suh did not include reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald being a part of it:

Although Donald didn’t recruit Suh, he did voice his excitement toward the chance to play alongside another elite defensive tackle. It is a rare opportunity to see two of the best defensive tackles in the league play alongside each other, which could lead to a special pairing in Los Angeles next season and possibly further beyond that.
The Rams didn’t necessarily need to add Suh to the mix given that they already had a formidable duo in Donald and Michael Brockers already in place. The two had helped effectively anchor the defensive front under defensive coordinator Wade Phillips in his first season with the team in 2017.
Los Angeles has the potential to have one of the stoutest defensive units in the league behind their highly-talented defensive unit that also saw their secondary proven talent at cornerback with All-Pros Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters along with Sam Shields. The front office has put together a stacked defense that could receive more stability with added depth and help at linebacker.
There is no certainty all of this will work out next season, but the Rams have put themselves in the position to make a serious run at a Super Bowl if their talent can learn how to play effectively alongside each other.
