The Los Angeles Rams managed to topple the Seattle Seahawks from their claim to the NFC West Division in the 2017 NFL season. However, Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett is not convinced the Rams will maintain their stronghold for long.

Bennett has never been shy about voicing his opinion. During an appearance on Sirius XM NFL Radio, he says the Seahawks still rule the division and that it is only a matter of time before they are back next year:

“We still dominating that division,” Bennett said. “The Rams they played a good season, but we’re still the big brother in that league. Don’t get it misconstrued. We still the guys on the block. Next year we’ll bounce back and be strong.”

While Bennett’s comments may seem a bit disrespectful, they do come with a certain degree of truth. Seattle has won the division three times over the last five years en route to two Super Bowl appearances. However, given the 42-7 thrashing that the Rams gave to the Seahawks near the end of the regular season, it is hard to see where Bennett’s optimism lies.

Seattle essentially cleaned house this year with new coordinators on both sides of the ball. It also remains to be seen whether they will honor Bennett’s lucrative salary for next season.
