Los Angeles Rams All-Pro quarterback Matthew Stafford has been named a host for Season 5 of the SiriusXM NFL show, “Let’s Go!” He joins Jim Gray, Maxx Crosby and Peter King to discuss the weekly news and game recaps across the league.

This is Stafford’s first true media roll, and it will debut on Sept. 1 on the SiriusXM NFL Radio channel, channel 88. The show involves weekly discussions on the Rams and other trending topics around the league. Stafford and Gray will also be joined throughout the season by special guests from the worlds of sports, entertainment and beyond. Episodes air every Monday — starting Sept. 1 — at 3:30 p.m. PT.

“Over the years, I have enjoyed watching & listening to “Let’s Go” on SiriusXM, and Jim is one of the true icons of sports broadcasting,” Stafford said. “To have a chance to work with him, Maxx and Peter this season was too good to pass up. Nothing is more important than winning football games, but Jim makes it so easy and fun to do this on Monday nights that I am really looking forward to it this season.”

“Matthew is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the ‘Let’s Go!’ team,” said Gray. “Since its inception, our show has featured legends Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and Larry Fitzgerald. Welcoming Matthew to the lineup alongside Maxx and Peter this season is a great addition. His insight and energy will make the show a great experience for our listeners.”

Stafford and Crosby — the two players hosting Season 5 of “Let’s Go!” can arguably make the claim of being two of the most underrated players in the sport today. Despite entering his 17th season, Stafford is still one of the very best quarterbacks in the league, and is leading a true contender in the NFC with the Rams.

Crosby anchors the Las Vegas Raiders defense and has established himself as one of the game’s premier edge rushers, although he has yet to see any significant playoff success.

Matthew Stafford still not returning to practice

The Rams have been without Stafford since the start of training camp due to an aggravated disk in his back.

The veteran quarterback received an epidural to treat the pain and also hasn’t practiced as the team tries to manage his workload.

Stafford appears to be turning a corner as he participated in a workout on Saturday and threw roughly 60 passes.

Rams head coach Sean McVay said the 37-year-old looked great and was expected to return for individual drills on Monday. However, that wasn’t the case. And as of Tuesday, he still has not suited up for L.A. in practices.
