Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is enjoying arguably the best season of his 17-year career. While he may have better overall statistical seasons, it is hard to argue that Stafford has ever played at a level higher than what he has been at in 2025.

Stafford is one of the favorites to take home the MVP Award should he continue to perform at this rate and has the Rams tied atop the NFC. And his play over the past few weeks now has him taking home some hardware as well as the NFL announced that Stafford has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Month for November:

In five games in the month of November, Stafford completed 66.7% of his passes, throwing for 1,207 yards and 15 touchdowns with just two interceptions, both of which came this past Sunday in the Rams’ loss to the Carolina Panthers. Prior to that, he had gone eight straight games without throwing a single interception. Somewhat surprisingly, this is actually the first time in Stafford’s career that he has won this award, though he has won NFC Offensive Player of the Week, including twice with the Rams in 2021.

So far this season, Stafford has been nothing short of outstanding after many wondered whether he would even be able to suit up at the start of the year as he had been dealing with a back injury. Instead, Stafford has started every game for the Rams so far, leading them to a 9-3 record while completing 66.3% of his passes for 3,073 yards and 32 touchdowns and just four interceptions.

Stafford isn’t the only member of the Rams to win a player of the month award this season as pass rusher Byron Young was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month for September. Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson (September) and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba (October) were the other two NFC players of the month so far this season.

Rams’ Matthew Stafford holds himself accountable for turnovers vs. Panthers

Unfortunately, Matthew Stafford’s final game in November was his worst as he had two interceptions and a lost fumble in the Rams’ loss to the Panthers. And Stafford didn’t offer up any excuses afterwards, putting the blame on himself for the turnovers and other late mistakes that hurt the team while also adding that he doesn’t expect for it to be an issue going forward.
