Rams News: Marcus Peters Tells Los Angeles To Pay Aaron Donald

It was a whirlwind offseason period for the Los Angeles Rams as they managed to transform their roster ahead of the 2018 NFL season. After successfully capturing the NFC West division title and securing a playoff berth, the Rams managed to add several different playmakers on both sides of the field in order to compete with the NFL’s elite.

One of their key acquisitions was cornerback Marcus Peters. Peters, who has quickly established himself as one of the best defensive backs in the league, adds a layer of aggressiveness and ballhawking that was previously lacking in the Rams’ secondary.

While Peters will likely create havoc on the backend of the field, he wasted no time in letting the media know his thoughts regarding teammate Aaron Donald’s contract extension according to Rich Hammond of Southern California News Group

Peters and fans alike have been clamoring for Los Angeles’ front office to pay Donald any dollar amount he desires given that he is the singular most dominant defensive player in the league. Donald’s camp has all the leverage they need given the Pro Bowler is fresh off his best season yet as he was awarded the 2017 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, further proving he deserves a new, lucrative deal.

With Donald’s decision to once again opt to skip offseason training activities, the Rams will head into the preseason without their star defensive tackle. However, the team should know how important Donald is to their success and it should only be a matter of time until he gets the contract he rightfully deserves.
