Marcus Peters is known as one of the premier defensive playmakers in the NFL. So it should come as no surprise to see he has high aspirations for himself.

Peters has made a habit of baiting quarterbacks into thinking their receivers are open. According to Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire, he is looking to pick off every opposing quarterback in the league at some point:

“My ultimate goal is to pick off every quarterback in the league. That’s just me personally. I’m going to respect every quarterback in this league,” Peters said. “If you can come into this league, it’s already hard enough for you to get here, so you just respect it and make your plays when they come. And as a defense, we just gotta make them.”

Peters’ goals may seem a bit far-fetched. However, it is indicative of the expectations he has for himself.

Needless to say, he has already gotten off to a solid start. His 20 career interceptions are more than any other player since 2015. He spent the first three years of his career terrorizing quarterbacks in the AFC West. The change of scenery to the NFC West should prove valuable in his new endeavor.

Aside from his talents as a bonafide ball hawk, Peters has also proven to be tough as nails. The two-time Pro Bowler was expected to miss quite some time with a calf strain he suffered in Week 3. However, he managed to play every single snap on defense against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4. His presence has helped stabilize the Rams secondary with Aqib Talib on injured reserve.

Peters will get a chance to add to his collection of picks when he squares off against Russell Wilson for the first time this Sunday.
