The return of the Los Angeles Rams will go down as one of the most historic events that this legendary city has experienced. Not only was Los Angeles finally getting their original team back, it gave the organization a chance to reconnect with their anxious fan base.

While there have been a number of changes since the team moved back prior to the 2016 NFL season, the newest will come in the form of uniforms. The team officially unveiled the new threads according to Los Angeles Rams:

Although the retro blue and gold has remained a fan favorite, Los Angeles has decided to roll with the Fearsome Foursome-esque uniforms for the 2017 season. The franchise was extremely hands-on with the local community, allowing the fans to vote online across several social media platforms to help pick out some of the more intricate details. Ultimately, Rams fans chose the single stripe on the pants as well as the white facemask to pair with the white horns.

The new threads certainly pay homage to a special era in franchise history that featured the likes of players like Roman Gabriel, Deacon Jones, Merlin Olsen, and Rosey Grier. Although it is inspiring to see the Rams honor the past greatness, the only way to truly pay homage is to get back to the winning days they had back in the 60’s and 70’s.
