The Los Angeles Rams have not been shy about making trades in the offseason. This year is no different following the acquisition of All-Pro cornerback Marcus Peters.
The Rams have now made another splash after trading defensive end/linebacker Robert Quinn to the Miami Dolphins. According to Peter Schrager of FoxSports.com, Los Angeles received a fourth-round and sixth-round pick in exchange for Quinn and a sixth-round pick:

Quinn-to-Dolphins trade details, per source: Rams get Miami’s 2018 4th and 6th round picks. Dolphins get Robert Quinn and Los Angeles’s 2018 6th round pick.

The news of the trade understandably strikes a bit of a blow to Rams’ fans. Quinn had established himself as one of the premier edge rushers in the league following a marvelous 19.5-sack campaign in 2015. However, injuries and changes around the franchise have taken a toll on his overall performance.

There had been rumors of Quinn’s potential departure this offseason in an attempt to open up some more cap space. It goes without saying that the Rams have several key players that they want to keep around. They will need all the money they can get in order to do so.

Furthermore, Los Angeles also got some more draft assets to work with after giving up a couple of picks in exchange for Peters. The Rams may just be able to come out on top once again should they dig up some gems.
