In Week 2, the Los Angeles Rams return home to host division rival and potential Super Bowl 51 favorites, Seattle Seahawks. The event has compelled the franchise to pull out all the stops for their highly-anticipated home opener.
While stars like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Cee-Lo Green are expected to make an appearance, perhaps what has fans most excited will be when the Rams debut their throwback jerseys at the Los Angeles Coliseum, something they have not seen since 1979:

The Rams have made it a point to wear their throwbacks the maximum amount of twice a year over the past several years. Although they have elected to wear their white uniforms for home games, they decided to offer the city of Los Angeles a blast from the past with these signature uniforms for Week 2.
In the 1960’s, the Rams originally had just the blue and white uniforms, which was the inspiration behind the team wearing white at home games this season. The yellow was later incorporated in the jerseys heading into the 1970’s.
Despite winning Super Bowl XXXVI in their white throwbacks over head coach Jeff Fisher’s Tennessee Titans, the Rams decided to offer a new product to the city of St. Louis. Having said that, there have been conversations of the Rams currently working on a new uniform scheme when their stadium is finally finished in 2019.
