To say that the Los Angeles Rams enjoyed an impressive turnaround in the 2017 NFL season would be a massive understatement. At the center of their resurgence has been head coach Sean McVay.

Los Angeles took home some serious hardware at the NFL Honors with Todd Gurley winning Offensive Player of the Year and Aaron Donald earning Defensive Player of the Year honors. They managed to cap their spectacular season with McVay being awarded Coach of the Year via the Rams official Twitter:

Not only were the Rams the most decorated team at this year’s NFL Honors, it was the first time in league history that a team has taken home OPOY, DPOY, and COY in the same season. Needless to say, they have come a long way from their disastrous 2016 campaign.

This time last year, Los Angeles received scathing criticism for making McVay the youngest head coach in NFL history. However, the young coach’s offensive prowess and “We Not Me” approach has resonated with an equivocally young Rams team.

Although Los Angeles has gained massive respect for their performance this season, they have continued to set the bar high after their disappointing end to the year. That said, the expectations could not be higher for this young team moving forward.
