Although the 2017 NFL season may not have ended the way they wanted, the Los Angeles Rams still enjoyed quite a historic turnaround this year. As a result, several of their notable players and coaches have received tremendous praise throughout the year.

Among them have been head coach Sean McVay, star running back Todd Gurley, and star defensive tackle Aaron Donald. Now they have finally been honored for their effort after the Rams announced on Twitter that their Big 3 swept the NFC Conference at the annual NFL 101 Awards:

There were very few who projected the Rams to improve from their disastrous 2016 campaign. The arrival of McVay as the youngest head coach in history only created more doubt.

However, Los Angeles undoubtedly became the biggest surprise this year after going from worst to first in points scored per game (29.9). More importantly, the Rams managed to capture their first NFC West Division title since 2003.

McVay and Gurley may have been the most clear-cut choices of the three. The Rams’ workhorse finished the year having led the league in yards from scrimmage and touchdowns. Meanwhile, Donald managed to edge out several other elite defenders en route to his award. That said, the three are still in the running to take home even more hardware in the near future.
