With the end of the 2017 NFL season nearly here, the Los Angeles Rams have exceeded preseason expectations. The Rams, who finished the 2016 NFL season with a dismal 4-12 record, have been one of the biggest surprise stories of the year given their prolific offense under Sean McVay.

In Week 16 against the Tennessee Titans, Los Angeles once again found ways to pull out a hard-fought win. The defense came up with huge stops when needed while Todd Gurley continued his MVP-caliber campaign by dominating the Titans both on the ground and through the air.

According to Rams, their 27-23 win over the Titans means they have clinched the NFC West title:

The Rams have clearly been the best team in the division during the season as both the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals have been hit hard with injuries while the San Francisco 49ers are rebuilding the future. While former head coach Jeff Fisher believes he left the team in good shape, it has been the work of McVay and Wade Phillips that has really turned Los Angeles around.

This is the first time the Rams have clinched the division title since 2003 and look to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender. They will close their 2017 NFL campaign at home against the 49ers in Week 17.
