The Los Angeles Rams continue to make some adjustments as they get ready to square off against an Arizona Cardinals team that is desperate to get back on track after a 1-2 start.
One of those changes has come in the team’s depleted secondary that is still nursing a few players back to full health. After being promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, defensive back Isaiah Johnson has been waived by Los Angeles in favor of rookie safety Marqui Christian according to Aaron Wilson of Houston Chronicle:

Coincidentally, Christian was taken by the Cardinals in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. After originally making the 53-man roster, the Cardinals placed Christian on waivers hoping to sign him to their practice squad. However, the Rams were quick to pick up his four-year, $2.55 million contract.
The Midwestern State College product earned the Cliff Harris award given to the nation’s top small-college defensive player. At 5’10” and 196 pounds, Christian possess sub-4.5 speed to go with a 35 1/2 inch vertical. This potentially makes him an ideal fit in the team’s nickel defense.
