The Los Angeles Rams are a very different looking team after a flurry of trades on Tuesday. While the Rams brought in some exciting talent, they also lost on of their top cornerbacks in Marcus Peters.
Peters was shipped to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for second-year linebacker Kenny Young and a draft pick. Of course, trading Peters was likely to make room on the field for former Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
Moving Peters may be bittersweet for many fans. He was a large part of the Rams’ success on defense after joining the team via trade from the Kansas City Chiefs last year.
General manager Les Snead was the one to trade for Peters and now the one to trade him away. According to Stu Jackson of TheRams.com, Snead had a moment of regret after making the trade:

Peters had been having a solid year so far, putting up two interceptions and nine solo tackles, with one of the interceptions being returned for a touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Young has spent most of his time with the Ravens this year on special teams. He has started three games at linebacker, recording 11 solo tackles, two quarterback hits and one forced fumble. His addition should help to to alleviate the loss of Clay Matthews for the next few weeks.
Although the loss of Peters is rough for many, the Rams new defense should be intriguing. A number of new faces will be present, although it remains to be seen who will be active for the Rams Sunday matchup in Atlanta against the Falcons.
Peters will have an opportunity to face his former team later this season as the Ravens will be traveling to Los Angeles on Nov. 25.
