The preseason is over and the minutes are counting down until all teams must cut their roster down from 75 to 53. Though some of the released players could wind up on the practice squad, others will be gone for good.
The deadline for final rosters is 1 PM PT on Saturday, but the Rams have already begun to make some moves. According to Mike Garafalo of NFL Network, defensive lineman Ian Seau, nephew of NFL Hall of Famer Junior Seau, has been released:
Ian Seau, nephew of Junior and a guy featured on Hard Knocks, informed he'll be waived by the Rams, source says.

Seau wasn’t the only casualty as receiver Austin Hill, another player who was featured on the HBO Hard Knocks series, was also released according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapaport:
Another Hard Knocks personality casualty: #Rams WR Austin Hill was released today, source said.

Time will tell whether either player will wind up on the practice squad, but it simply wasn’t in the cards for them to make the 53-man roster. Hill in particular always seemed like a longshot, especially with the Rams so high on rookie Pharoah Cooper.
Seau showed some flashes during the preseason, especially in these final couple of games for the Rams. He certainly has something to offer a team and the Rams could certainly bring him back on the practice squad.
It won’t be much longer until we find out the rest of this year’s Los Angeles Rams roster.
