Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams won the Nickelodeon Valuable Award (NVP) for Week 17 after his big game against the New York Giants on New Year’s Eve.
Williams rushed for 87 yards on 20 carries and scored a season-high three touchdowns. The 23-year-old also caught two passes for an additional 14 yards.
The performance helped the Rams earn a 26-25 win over the Giants, which allowed them to clinch a playoff berth after the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Seattle Seahawks.
Williams is the first Rams player since Baker Mayfield in Week 16 of the 2022 NFL season to win the NVP Award. Mayfield completed 24 of 28 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns in the team’s 51-14 win over the Denver Broncos on Christmas Day.

Williams is in the midst of a breakout season as he ranks second to only Christian McCaffrey with 1,144 rushing yards. He is also responsible for 15 touchdowns despite playing in only 12 games.
The running back is among the players who have already been ruled out for the Rams’ regular-season finale against the San Francisco 49ers due to rest purposes, so he won’t see the field again until the team’s Wild Card matchup against either the Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions or Philadelphia Eagles.
