After years of lackluster play at the quarterback position, the Los Angeles Rams went all in by trading for the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft to select Jared Goff.
Among the expectations that come with being the top pick, Goff also faces the challenge of adjusting to a big market city like Los Angeles which has long awaited for professional football’s highly anticipated return. As Goff continues to settle into his new home, he recently revealed a few interesting tidbits about himself, while discussing what it means to come to Los Angeles on the Rams Rookie Confessional:
“It’s an exciting time to be an LA Ram. Moving back to California, back to LA and playing in the Coliseum the next couple years and then eventually having our own place to call home in Inglewood.”
Goff also had a special message for Rams fans around the world, which included winning a lot of games:
“I’m going to come in and work as hard as I can and be the best player and best teammate I can be and hopefully make you guys happy and win a lot of games.”
As Goff continues to adjust leading up to training camp, it is reassuring to see the expectations for himself are so high. With the Rams competing in arguably the toughest division in the NFL, any type of progression is certainly a step in the right direction.
