It has been a fun three weeks of preseason football as we have seen first-string units get their reps in in preparation for the 2017 NFL season. With only one more week of preseason action before the regular season begins, expect key players and veterans to sit in order to ensure a healthy start to the year.

The Los Angeles Rams have looked impressive so far under new head coach Sean McVay. After a dismal 2016 NFL campaign, the Rams have a functioning offense that has been enjoyable to watch in the preseason. Jared Goff has looked much better in his brief summer appearances on the field, but according to Gary Klein of Los Angeles Times the quarterback will be rested in the team’s final preseason game:

Heading into his second year, Goff will be heavily scrutinized after his disappointing rookie season. The former No. 1 overall pick has plenty to prove, but early signs have been positive as he has looked more poised and collected in the pocket. McVay was largely brought in to help develop Goff and it appears the rookie head coach has already made progress with his starting signal caller.

Despite dropping their first preseason game to the Los Angeles Chargers, the Rams are looking like they will have a bounce back season. Goff has shown enough in the preseason to give fans hope and it will be interesting to see if his early success will translate to the upcoming season.
