The Los Angeles Rams advanced to the Super Bowl for the first time in almost two decades in 2018 but fell just short as their offense was held without a touchdown in the 13-3 loss to the New England Patriots.

With offseason workouts for the 2019 season taking place over the past couple of months leading up to Training Camp, the Rams are beginning to look past last year and are starting to focus on the season ahead of them.

The team returns almost its entire core nucleus of players from a season ago, so the expectation is to return to and win the Super Bowl in 2019-20.

Taking on a leadership role for the Rams this offseason has been fourth-year quarterback Jared Goff, and he believes that working out and being reunited with his full team was important for getting past the Super Bowl loss, via Clarence Dennis of TheRams.com.

“Days like today help getting past it of course, where you’re with the guys and you’re able to start moving forward in a different direction and towards a new goal.”

Particularly, Goff said he had difficulty working past the big loss because he couldn’t hit the field again. Much like last season, Goff will probably sit out the entire preseason so he will have to wait until Week 1 of the regular season to get some game action.

Additionally, Goff said that this offseason he hopes to once again improve his completion rate. He has improved in every year of his career, jumping from 62.1% to 64.9% last year. Goff also saw increases in his yards per game and yards per attempt, but unfortunately also threw four more interceptions than the year prior.
