The Los Angeles Rams have quickly established themselves as one of the NFL’s most promising young teams in the league given the talent and youth on the roster. Under head coach Sean McVay and defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, the Rams surpassed expectations and ended up winning the NFC West division title during the 2017 NFL season.

After a disappointing rookie season, Jared Goff rebounded in his second year in the league due to McVay’s offensive system and an improved receiver corps. While many around the league labeled him a bust, Goff proved to be a quality quarterback and looks to be the franchise signal caller going forward.

Due to his impressive sophomore campaign, Goff was named to the Top 100 list according to Rams:

This is quite the fear for the young quarterback when considering how he looked in his first year under center. Goff turned heads around the league during the 2017 NFL season with his sound decision making and ability to throw the ball downfield and his players in stride.

Goff finished the year with 28 touchdowns compared to seven interceptions, another indicator that he is steadily improving and should only get better with more experience under his belt. Goff’s development and comfort level in McVay’s offense will be key during the 2018 NFL season and the team’s Super Bowl hopes once the new season finally kicks off.
