The Los Angeles Rams are among the deepest teams in all of football, boasting a bevy of talent and playmakers on both sides of the ball. The team further solidified that notion with a 4-0 record in September, picking up notable wins against the Minnesota Vikings and crosstown Los Angeles Chargers.

With a stacked roster from top to bottom, perhaps an underrated aspect of the Rams’ success thus far has been the efficiency of their offensive line.

Led by Andrew Whitworth and Rodger Saffold, Los Angeles’ star-studded group has thrived with protecting Jared Goff in the early going.

Goff has taken notice and offered high praise for the unit, recently deeming the Rams’ offensive line as the best in the league, according to Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire:

“[I was] protected really well and I think that’s something we can talk about a little bit more is how well the offensive line is playing,” Goff said. “They’re playing the best in the league right now and I don’t think it’s really close. The last three or four games, I don’t know what the numbers are, but I’ve hit the ground maybe three or four times. I mean, even just hits, pressures. Not even sacks. Just all that stuff is incredible and they’re doing such a great job.”

As Goff notes, the Rams’ offensive line has excelled at limiting pressure in the pocket. In Thursday’s win over the Vikings, the 23-year-old was hurried just twice and sacked only once.

Through four games, the Rams offensive line has yielded only five sacks. That is tied with the Denver Broncos for second fewest in the league, as only the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have allowed less (four).
