The Los Angeles Rams have already dealt with their fair share of injuries before the 2022 season has even started.

The Rams lost Logan Bruss for the season after he tore his ACL and MCL, while Daniel Hardy will most likely start the year on IR after sustaining a high ankle sprain. Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson are also dealing with soft-tissue injuries that have held them out of practice, while the team has been managing Matthew Stafford, who is dealing with elbow pain.

Meanwhile, there’s Jalen Ramsey, who is still recovering from offseason shoulder surgery. While Ramsey has been participating in team drills, he admitted he’s not all the way back yet health-wise, via Cameron DaSilva of USA Today:

“Not yet. Not yet, but I will be when the time is right,” he said. “That’s what’s important to me, honestly. I’m just being careful right now. I haven’t been doing a lot of techniques, trying to play a little light, not attacking at the top of the route like I usually would. Just certain technique things, I won’t go into all that. I’ll be here when the time is right.”

Ramsey played through AC joint sprains in both his shoulders during the 2021 season and opted to have a procedure done on one of them to correct the issue. It’s impressive the star defensive back was able to be as effective as he was, so there’s optimism he could be even better this year.

As of now, Ramsey doesn’t seem in danger of missing Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills so hopefully his rehab stays on track. Should he come back 100 percent healthy, the defense should remain near the top of the league.
