For many of those fortunate enough to play sports at the highest level, it is extremely important to give back and push the next generation as well. That is certainly the case for Los Angeles Rams star cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
Considered by many to be the premier cornerback in all of football, Ramsey has already totaled 4 passes defensed and an interception in the Rams’ first three games of the season. But he recently kicked off a different journey that will have a lasting impact on many.
The Rams announced that Ramsey will be going on a tour of five local high schools, speaking to the football teams at each one in hopes of inspiring the young players. And he kicked that tour off on Wednesday at the famed Long Beach Poly High School:

The faces and smiles that are on these young players’ faces are what this is all about. If even one player is inspired enough by spending time and speaking with Ramsey then this is all worth it for the All-Pro.
Kicking off the tour at Long Beach Poly is ideal as it is one of the premier high schools not only in Southern California, but the entire country. No high school has sent more players to the NFL than the Jackrabbits with past alumni including the likes of Willie McGinest, Gene Washington, Mark Carrier, Jurrell Casey and Omar Stoutmire.
Long Beach Poly has a number of current players in the NFL as well including Juju Smith-Schuster, Desean Jackson, Marcedes Lewis and Jayon Brown.
These current Jackrabbits have gotten off to a great start in their season at 5-0 and are currently ranked fourth in the state of California.
