It was an eventful offseason for Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who underwent shoulder surgery after playing most of the 2021 season with two sprained AC (acromioclavicular) joints.

Ramsey has since been cleared by doctors and avoided going on the PUP list. The five-time Pro Bowler has been a limited participant in training camp practices thus far and won’t put pads on until he is completely healthy.

Ramsey is making headlines off the gridiron as well, as according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the 27-year-old is among a group of NFL players who invested in the National Cycling League:

That Ramsey invested in the NCL isn’t a surprise, as his agent, David Mulugheta is the co-founder. Mulugheta also represents Derwin James and Kevin Byard.

According to the NCL’s official website, their inaugural season is scheduled to begin in 2023. It considers itself the “first professional sports league that is majority-minority and female owned and values men’s and women’s athletic achievements and contributions equally.”

The NCL will consist of a series of closed-course races around the country, with events scheduled in Miami, Atlanta, Denver and Chicago. It’ll also feature an exciting scoring system that ensures the NCL will deliver the “most exciting bike races in the world.”
