The Los Angeles Rams were thoroughly embarrassed on Sunday Night when they lost to the Tennessee Titans 28-16.

It was an off night for the offense as Matthew Stafford committed two uncharacteristic interceptions, with one of them being returned for a touchdown. The Titans were able to generate pressure almost all night, getting home to Stafford five times and not allowing the Rams to generate any explosive plays.

The wide receiver room in Los Angeles has taken a hit in the past week with the release of DeSean Jackson and Tutu Atwell being placed on season-ending IR. However, it suffered another blow when Jacob Harris was forced out of the game after suffering an apparent leg injury and head coach Sean McVay confirmed he will miss the rest of the season, via Stu Jackson of TheRams.com:

Rams head coach Sean McVay on Monday said rookie wide receiver Jacob Harris will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL and MCL against the Titans.

Harris sustained the injury with just under 10 minutes remaining in the first half while covering a punt return.

McVay added that Harris going down was unfortunate because there were opportunities to see him get more offensive snaps:

“It’s a bummer,” McVay said. “I hate that for Jacob, and you were hoping to kind of get him a little bit more involved. What that means as far as maybe we start mixing in some different personnel groupings, and Kendall Blanton played some snaps as of late, maybe you get into some different stuff like that, those are all things that we’ll explore. But I do feel good about those top five.”

Harris was one of the rookies to watch during the preseason because of his speed and athleticism, showing he could be a legitimate red zone threat for the Rams. With Jackson and Atwell off the active roster, Harris could have mixed in four-receiver sets but now L.A. will need to wait until next year to see what they have in the promising prospect.
