The Los Angeles Rams have somehow transformed into one of the highest-scoring offenses in the league so far in the 2017 NFL season. Although it is a testament to Jared Goff and Todd Gurley’s resurgence, the man behind the Rams scoring output has been Greg Zuerlein.
Zuerlein has been arguably the best kicker in the league this year. His near-perfect play in October was enough to earn him NFC Special Teams Player of the Month:

He got off to a hot start versus the Dallas Cowboys, where he hit all seven field goals en route to a franchise record. Zuerlein finished the month recording 51 points on 14-of-15 attempts and nine PATs. It has been the perfect storm for the six-year veteran, who has served as a model of consistency for Los Angeles in the 2017 NFL season.
Although the Rams offense has been improved mightily, they still struggle to capitalize on their red zone opportunities at times. As a result, Zuerlein has now connected on 21-of-22 attempts and currently leads the league with 84 points scored.
Zuerlein had previously earned the conference’s Player of the Week award for his performance against the Cowboys. He now joins Gurley as another fellow Ram to take home an NFC Player of the Month award.
