Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay announced at Friday’s practice that tight end Gerald Everett, right tackle Rob Havenstein and defensive back Darious Williams have all been ruled out for Sunday’s Week 13 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.
Being without Everett is a big loss for the Rams offense as in 11 games, he has already posted career-highs in receptions (37) and yards (408) to go along with a pair of touchdowns. He has become one of Jared Goff‘s most reliable weapons, and Arizona is one of the worst teams in the NFL defending tight ends.
Everett tweaked his knee in the loss to the Baltimore Ravens and while it is unclear how long he will be out, it will be for at least one game so Tyler Higbee will likely take over every-down tight end duties.
Havenstein is getting set to miss his third straight game due to a knee injury despite McVay being confident earlier in the week that he would be able to return. Rookie tackle Bobby Evans will make his third straight start in his absence.
The Rams’ secondary has seemingly been short-handed every week this season, and that will continue with Williams missing his third straight game with an ankle injury. He is not a starter for Los Angeles but provides valuable depth in the secondary.
