The Los Angeles Rams suffered an absolutely unreal number of injuries last season and the place that was hit hardest was the offensive line. This ultimately led to an opportunity for the Rams’ 2019 third-round draft pick Bobby Evans getting an opportunity to step up.
Evans started four games for the Rams in 2022 after starting just one game total in the previous two seasons. He had also started seven games as a rookie, but for the most part had been a backup during his tenure with the Rams.
But his time with the franchise is now over as Evans has agreed to a deal with the Minnesota Vikings just as training camp is set to begin, via Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2:

This move reunites Evans with former Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell, who is now the Vikings head coach. After four seasons in L.A., the Rams had seen everything they needed to from Evans and the results simply weren’t good enough.
While he did earn a roster spot last season, the Rams were undoubtedly looking for more from someone who was drafted relatively high. Injuries created an opportunity for Evans to step up last season, but the results were mixed at best. The fact that it took until the eve of training camp for a team to bring Evans in could very well be a sign that there isn’t much hope for him to stick around the NFL.
Nonetheless he will now look to earn a spot in Minnesota while the Rams focus on other possibilities to help shore up their offensive line and protect quarterback Matthew Stafford as they look to bounce back in 2023.
Rams’ lineman Logan Bruss ready to return from torn ACL
Chief among those whom the Rams are looking to step up in a rebuilt offensive line was their third-round pick last year, Logan Bruss of Wisconsin. Bruss suffered a torn ACL and MCL during preseason last year which ended his season, but the former Badger is ready to get back on the field this season.
Bruss recently spoke on this last year for himself, believing that it made him a better player and person overall. The Rams’ lineman admitted that it will likely take some time to get back up to speed and build confidence, but he is ready to do whatever the team needs to contribute to their overall success.
