The future is bright for Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff. At least, that is what New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees says.

Goff made his first career Pro Bowl appearance after a spectacular 2017 NFL season. Perhaps even more impressive is that he has made quite the impression on Brees in the week leading up to the game. According to ESPN’s Jenna Laine, the star veteran had high praise for the young quarterback:

“I think a ton of him,” Brees said. “It was really great to be around him this week. You see what he’s such a good player and was able to have the season that he did this year. The future is so bright for a guy like that. I love his demeanor. I love his approach.”

It goes without saying that Brees’ compliments carry plenty of weight. The 11-time Pro Bowler endured his fair share of criticism before becoming arguably the most accurate passer in league history. It is a title that Goff hopes to hold at some point in his career.
Both quarterbacks enjoyed solid outings in the Pro Bowl. Brees completed seven of his nine passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Goff connected on 10 of his 18 attempts for 86 yards.
