The Los Angeles Rams will finally be welcoming fans at SoFi Stadium when they play the L.A. Chargers in the preseason opener on Saturday night.
Both teams will officially be ushering in a new era for their franchises following the relocation. Although they had fully intended to be a year into it, the restrictions of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic had other plans.
Fortunately, stadium officials made it clear back in May that SoFi Stadium would be hosting fans at full capacity for the entire 2021 NFL season. Of course, that is not to say that there will no longer be any restrictions.
Officials released COVID-19 guidelines for fans to follow during the Rams-Chargers game, via Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic:

Most of the restrictions fall in line with those that have largely been introduced since the start of the pandemic. However, one of the most notable exceptions will be that face coverings will be required everywhere except for when fans are in their respective seats.
They are also urging fans to come early in an effort to potentially reduce the number of large crowds gathering in an area. With kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. PT, the parking lot will be open as soon 3:00 p.m. and the gates at 5:00 p.m.
Although SoFi Stadium is not requiring attendees to be vaccinated, the unvaccinated will not be allowed on the field. Meanwhile, cashless transactions and mobile ticketing are simply extra precautions taken by the stadium to avoid any potential outbreaks.
The Rams will be hosting the Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders before wrapping up the preseason on the road versus the Denver Broncos. This will allow stadium officials to take care of any potential shortcomings before the real show begins versus the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football.
