The Los Angeles Rams made a couple of roster moves recently, letting go of a pair of players who have played big roles with the team thus far this season. The Rams waived running back Darrell Henderson Jr. and linebacker Justin Hollins, both of whom have appeared in every game for the Rams this year and started at least half of them.

At just 3-7 and with their playoff hopes fleeting, the Rams decided to go a different route in hopes of saving their season, but neither Henderson nor Hollins were without a home for long.

According to Field Yates of ESPN, Henderson was claimed off waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars, while both the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks claimed Hollins with Green Bay having priority and thus the linebacker will head there:

Henderson had clearly fallen out of favor with the Rams coaching staff, especially last game as both Cam Akers and rookie Kyren Williams had far more carries than the 2019 third-round pick. Henderson is still the Rams’ leading rusher on the season with 283 yards and three touchdowns, but the team has decided to move forward with the young duo of Akers and Williams.

The Jaguars are a good landing spot for Henderson as they were in need of another back after dealing away James Robinson to the New York Jets. He will now take on a role behind starter Travis Etienne as a change of pace back but entering free agency this offseason.

Likewise, Hollins heads to a Packers team that is in a similar position to these Rams looking to salvage a disappointing season and possibly make a playoff push. Hollins has 26 total tackles on the season to go along with three quarterback hits and one sack.

The Packers defense has struggled mightily this season, particularly against the run and they are hoping that Hollins can be part of the solution to help shore some things up.
