The Los Angeles Rams have a busy offseason ahead of them if they hope to avoid too much turnover with all the key players set to test free agency.

Among the notable players scheduled to hit the market is defensive back Darious Williams. After all, he has emerged as quite a steal since being picked up off of waivers by the Rams in the 2018 campaign.

Williams has earned himself a solid payday after finishing the 2020 NFL season with 44 tackles, 14 pass deflections and four interceptions. As a result, he is taking action to ensure that it ones to fruition this offseason in restricted free agency.

It appears he will have a new agent negotiting his contract as Klutch Sports announced that they have signed Williams to their agency:

Klutch has emerged as a staple in the NBA with its star-studded client list that includes players such as LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Ben Simmons and Trae Young. Williams will now be joining this group as they continue to make similar headway into the NFL.

Klutch began its transition into football when it acquired the Revolution Sports Agency last year. Some of the players that were brought on board during the process include Jarvis Landry, Xavien Howard and Alvin Kamara.

Williams’ decision is indicative of his intentions to potentially get a long-term deal done in free agency. Of course, it remains to be seen just how the Rams plan on going about bringing him back in the mix on a team-friendly deal since they have limited cap space to work with.

One such option that has been mentioned is for L.A. to give a first-round qualifying offer to Williams that would keep him around on a $4.6 million deal. Although this does not guarantee that he will stick around for another year, it could at least help the team get something in return for his potential departure.
