Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver Cooper Kupp was named NFC Offensive Player of the Month for September.

Kupp becomes the fourth Rams receiver to be named the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Month, joining Henry Ellard (1988), Isaac Bruce (1995) and Torry Holt (2003).

He also joins quarterback Matthew Stafford in bringing home awards this season as the Rams’ new signal-caller has already won two NFC Offensive Player of the Week awards in three weeks.

Kupp has been incredible to start the season for the Rams, currently leading the league in receptions (25), yards (367) and touchdowns (5). He needs 169 receiving yards against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday to break the NFL record for the most yards in the first four weeks of a season.

While Kupp has been great every year he’s been with the Rams, there’s no doubting he has taken the next step this year with Stafford as his quarterback and developed into one of the best receivers in football.

Stafford and Kupp’s connection is already very strong and should get even better as they continue to play more together. Kupp’s route-running ability is second to none as he seems to be open on almost every play and Stafford is finding him.

There’s still a ton of football to be player but as of now, the Rams are looking like legit contenders to win the Super Bowl and the Stafford to Kupp connection is a big reason for that.
